Importing Resources into Zotero

Choose Collection for Importing Resources

Right-click on My Library to create a New Collection. Name it. Create Sub-collections by right-clicking on a Collection.Open the Collection. Resources automatically import into the open Collection.

Import Resources from Search All Resources

With the correct Collection open, choose the item you will use. Click on the Zotero icon in the upper right corner of the browser. it may be a puzzle piece or a Z. 

Choose Zotero from your extension list. The icon indicates a book in this example. It will look like a page for a journal article.

 

Import Resources from Saved Lists

Choose your list, Cite, Export. See Saving to Your Library Account for information on saving lists.

Click the downloads to open the RIS file. It will automatically asave in the open Collection of your Zotero library, or a New Collection if you choose.

Import Resources from Databases

The full texts of journal articles are automatically attached to the Zotero record. 

Import Resources Using ISBNs or DOIs

Use the wand and enter the ISBN or DOI to import resources.
