Unlock the Power of Databases: Research Question

Research Begins with a Research Question

Read the Syllabus

Read the assignment in the syllabus carefully.

Note the number of pages and sources required.

Note any specific resources required such as journal articles, commentaries, and monographs.**

** A monograph is another name for a book that is not a compilation of distinct essays.

Define the Research Question

Define a manageable question to research.

If it is not provided in the syllabus, start reading to survey the topic.

Make it specific enough to answer in the number of pages allowed.

You may need to revise as you research.
