CLEAR Framework's Five Components By Dr. Leo S. Lo,

  1. Concise: clear without unnecessary words that include all details needed
  2. Logical: Structured and coherent progression of prompt elements
  3. Explicit: Be specific about what you need, include relevant details
  4. Adaptive: Evaluate the response and refine the question
  5. Reflective: Critically evaluate results for relevancy, accuracy, completeness, use observations to modify next prompt

Ordering Your Prompt

Component Purpose
Verb Start with action: locate, summarize, explain, analyze, and create.
Noun What do you want from the action? Summarize this article, explain the steps, provide keywords, and provide an outline.
Constraints Provide length, style, and format.
Focus and Condition Narrow the scope of the task and clarify what content should be included.
